The Kennon Family: Holy SCRAP!

So, we have a three bedroom house. One bedroom is the master, one is Carson's and one is the guest room. What is wrong with this little arrangment? It leaves me no room to be a craft room! :) Never fear...I found a spot when we moved in. The guest bedroom closet is my "scrap closet". It's usually pretty organized and clean (which if you know me, is a requirement for peace and productivity)...but it occassionally gets bogged down with junk. It's so easy to pile stuff in there. So when things are piled in there, I'm uninspired to create.

My sweet John built me a table in the closet and put an electrical outlet in. I love my little closet!

Today, I cleaned out and organized my space again! I'm excited because this is the first time I can remember that I have two things on my side... First, John is off this summer for the first time ever. Second, I have not one smidgen of "teacher guilt" (= not feeling like I can do anything fun for myself due to the constant pile of things I could/should be doing for my students). I'm all set...no excuses! It's gonna be a summer of creativity and some much, much, much needed "me time". Go me! :)

P.S. - I really have a hard time sharing my creations and my personal creative space, so this post is a hard one for me! :) Enjoy my little safe place...
