A Month Full of Memories...

Here are Carson's official 6 month pics :)

This past month was full of "stuff" it seems. John graduated, I was finishing up teaching for the year...and we were both counting down every single second! I ended up having to pack up my room the last two days of school after finding out I'm moving rooms. Still havn't moved into my new classroom...waiting for the room I'm moving to to be moved itself! It was a VERY hectic and stressful last couple weeks of school and I am thrilled beyond words to be back home with Carson for the summer!

This Month in Carson's World She...

...went to see Daddy graduate! This is NOT a good pic. I need to get the good ones off my mom's camera. But at least you can see her cute SFA outfit!

...found her feet! (This is actually very helpful during diapering!)

...discovered the computer.

...started standing for very long periods of time while holding on to something! (Not yet pulling up, but she'll stay standing where we put her.)

...tried oatmeal cereal. Carson is allergic to rice, so we skipped rice cereal. However, the day after we tried oatmeal, she had a breakout of eczema so we stopped all solids until tomorrow's doctor appointment. Frustrating! She actually did manage to eat more than she got on her though! We found out that she was very much interested in getting the spoon...which I allowed only once for a split second for fear she'd poke herself with it or ram it down her throat. We also found out that the rubber on the spoon felt very good to her gums because she bit down hard on it after every spoon full and moved her head back and forth, rubbing her gums. Poor baby! (Sidenote...the lighting in my kitchen stinks! We have terra cotta colored walls and it just makes everything orange without the camera flash and very strange with the flash!)

...started sitting up for a couple of seconds. This pic was taken about a week ago. Now she can sit up unassisted for about a minute or so! She's wobbly and needs more control from left to right, but she's got good balance front to back. She also has started "crawling" OVER her Boppy pillow!

...started teething in a BIG way. She is a constant spit fountain and can't get enough of pressure on her gums.

...and just played and had a good time!

Last but not least...our "official" 5 month pic (yeah...it's a bit late to be putting it up, but here it is.) Of course, you've all probably seen this before but it's the best pic to show her personality this past month so we chose it as our 5 month-er :)
